This project is a provocative exploration of a dystopian future, serving as both a warning and a reflection on the trajectory of our current societal choices. It underscores the potential consequences of unchecked technological integration, the erosion of privacy and property, and the neglect of environmental stewardship. "NextTech" invites viewers to contemplate the value of the tangible and intangible elements that define our humanity.

This poster, designed under the theme of a speculative Dystopia Museum, presents a chilling foray into a future dominated by advanced technology and societal upheaval. Titled "NextTech," the work imagines a world where immersive virtual reality has eclipsed the human connection to the natural world and to each other.

Featured Innovations:
  • Wearable Projection: With the poignant tagline "People don't even look up anymore," this device epitomizes the societal addiction to virtual over physical realms, projecting captivating digital content that renders the beauty of the sky obsolete.
  • Virtual Scenario Cards: Bearing the existential slogan "I am I, and I wish I wasn't," these cards offer escape into alternate digital identities, reflecting a collective unease with the self and the allure of virtual escapism.
  • Food Powder: Marketed with the simple yet profound statement "We are Humans," this synthetic nutrition represents the erosion of natural food sources, posing a question of identity and survival in an environmentally degraded world.

The Obsolete:
  • Phone: With "ignorance is strength," this relic symbolizes the waning need for direct communication and information, in a society where knowledge is no longer power.
  • Keys: The phrase "ending is better than mending" highlights a disposable culture, where ownership and permanence have lost their value.
  • Vegetables: Questioned by "is grass green?" these natural foods become a distant memory, challenging viewers to reflect on environmental loss and its impact on basic sustenance.

This work exemplifies my commitment to leveraging art as a medium for social commentary and speculative thought. It represents a synthesis of graphic design, futurism, and critical reflection, aimed at engaging audiences in meaningful dialogue about the future we are collectively crafting.
